Mini review
I'm watching it now. Some observations
1. They are ALL acting bad. Without exception. Ajay might get on your nerves a little less bec he atleast keeps his decibel in control.
2. Those reviews of Arjun being amazzzzzzzzzzing are a SCAM. He was as hammy and ott as the rest of them.
3. Half the cameos should have been edited out or never have been shot
4. They are really hamfisting the ramayan connection. We get it you based it on ramayan, you don't need to hammer it in every scene. This is the difference between Vishal Bharadwaj adapting Shakespeare and Rohit shetty throwing ramayan in our face.
5. Can people stop touching Ajays feet. Half way through and three scenes already
6. THIS Is why bollywood directors can't emulate south indian aesthetics. They think it's just loud music and slo motion walks and wind blowing. Without context, without appropriate placement. Like putting such a loud scene when ajay meets a near death daya is stupid. That scene should have had an sad setup.
7. Zero emotional connect. You don't feel anything as a viewer.
8. You make a Singham movie and have everyone singing his praises every two minutes? Even Singham himself??? Lol... Like we understood, move on with the story.
9. again. We get it. We understand it's the ramayan. WE GET IT. stop with the shloks, background music and every second dialogue talking about ram, sita, and ravan.
It's really badly made. No subtlety. No smartness. No nuance. No intelligent writing. Nothing.
@bold: except his onscreen son, everyone touched his feet as if he was the real Lord Ram.
And why the heck was even Deepika and Tiger's characters needed?
