And I don't think it has chance to change in near future, it's having downfall only.

All we can do is stop watching it as no matter what audience want they will show whatever they want.

They are in the entertainment business but at the end of the day it's business.. they aren't doing social service.. so their priority is to bring in the numbers and make money.. audience entertainment is only a by-product.. it's not the end goal.. and I think the online audience understands that every well.. tbh even a large section of the tv audience does.. we just choose to still watch it for whatever reasons each of us may have.. good, reasonable or otherwise. It's an individual choice. And easiest to stop watching if the story doesn't appeal and that's what we are after.. not that the makers give any crap about our emotions anyway!

Ideally story should be king. But be it TRP's on TV or even sometimes the box office numbers for films, that is unfortunately not the case.

Case in point - all top 5 shows are SP serials all showing similar storylines with triangles & toxic tracks
