I think it depends on the style of the sari and the belt. This one Khushi is wearing doesn’t look too bad.

For many south Indian marriages the girls wear saree with a gold band. It s similar to a belt made n gold.

I have seen those and they look great. Problem with this one is it looks like a regular leather belt, it’s bulky, and it just doesn’t go with a flowy pink sari. It’s like wearing boots with a sari or shalwar Kameez.
