I watched a video on YouTube today which mentioned that when we hate somebody, we don't really hate the person, but the ideology the person concerned stands for. The name that immediately came to my mind was Anupa. So, I thought what does she stand for that I hate so much about her. Of course, everybody who hates her can have a different reason for hating her. Here's mine:

I hate Anupa from the bottom of my heart for some specific reasons, I guess.

  • The hypocrisy: she is biased and prejudiced to the core. She doesn't stand for the ideals she advocates for. She's all words about woman empowerment but is actually all about subservience. She pretends to be progressive. This pretense is nauseating.
  • Turning blind eye to her faults: she turns a blind eye to her faults. Instead of acknowledging and admitting to her faults, she dwells in victim mindset and puts the entire blame on others. She keeps crying thinking it would magically turn her into a victim even though she's the one who is wrong. She doesn't acknowledge the pain she subjects others to.
  • The support she gets: the biased narrative of makers, who want to show her kind, empowered, (ex) family oriented, savage, self respecting, victim, humane, God all at the same time (in short sab sab sab) which is impossible, therefore she ends up making mistakes, and then makers, in their urge to keep her holier than thou image intact, turn others into villains. The support she gets despite being clearly wrong makes me hate her even more. If she was shown as the vamp that she actually is, I would have applauded her for her cunning, manipulative tactics, but they want to show her as good, despite doing bad things. That misalignment makes me hate her.

So, I conclude the things that I hate her for, are: Hypocrisy and pretense; refusal to acknowledge her mistakes and the pain she inflicts on others; and the support she gets for (not despite) being wrong.

What are your reasons?

True, makers are more focused on proving Anupama right always that they have ruined whole story and all the characters have lost their originality and in short everyone is villain in anupama except Anupama🫠

The worst part, they have demonized Rakhi Ji (Rakhi Dave), Rahi / Aadhya / CA, just to show Anupama's greatness. Anupama should learn to live for herself, which she has not done unfortunately.

What are your reasons?

@Bold1 : Anupama's hypocrisy was evident when Kinjal eloped for getting married to Toshu much against Rakhi Ji's (Rakhi Dave's) wishes. Anupama stops Rakhi Ji when Kinjal is about to get slapped (For eloping and marrying Toshu. Kinjal deserved a tight slap from Rakhi Ji) but this shameless woman does not utter a word when Pakhi elopes to marry Adhik.

@Bold2 : Even though Aadhya did not want Anupama to decorate her house on her birthday, she decorates her home along with Anuj. That day was important for Anupama as a reputed food critic was coming to S&C so that she can give rating to the restaurant. Anupama, instead of focusing on the task at hand (Which was to impress the food critic), answers Anuj's video call. And the result was that a cockroach was found in Anupama's signature dish "Undhiyo Biryani". And she puts the entire blame on Sruthi for doing the right thing (Which was to complain to the concerned authorities).

@Bold3 : She had abondoned the idea of a hotel chain (Just like how she had left Aadhya and Anuj on the day of car accident) after her 2nd wedding with Anuj. Anupama instead of working on her short comings, decides to break her wedding with Anuj. It was Anupama's idea of "Maa ke hath ka khana" with which Anuj was impressed and he offers a business partnership to Anupama. But that project was dumped in the dustbin by Anupama.

Please feel free to add any points that I had missed.

In addition to whatever you said, she really likes ruining others' lives but pretends to be oh so innocent.

She is no different from the shameless sadakchaap shahs. Just that she (almost) successfully hides her vile, obnoxious self while they don't. She is the next generation Dhongi Dukhmukh aka A Master Manipulator.

What does Anupama stand up for? Shahs.

Anything else?
