SMD is a love story same way Darr and Anjaam were love stories.

Having a male cktr in one-sided love with no reciprocity, relationship, friendship or connection with the FL is not a love story.

One-sided love stories work when there is an established relationship between the leads and one-sided love grows and flourishes within the confines of that relationship (such as marriage of convenience/forced marriage ya office romance ya friends to lovers tropes, etc.).

One-sided love where there is limited relationship and interaction between leads tend to fall into darr and anjaam categories.
