Sridevi got the best actress MAIN LEAD POPULAR Filmfare award for film Lamhe, a total DISASTER at the Indian boxoffice , won against Madhuri for Saajan, the biggest hit of the year 1991.

Should be Kriti. TBMAUJ was a success. Her performance was great and looked absolutely Smashing. No one else deserves it in popular category

Tho Madhuri my fav but damn sridevi deserved that award

Also karishma won for Fiza ) I can’t remember movie was a success or not

Yeah Sridevi was amazing in Lamhe.

It just contradict the poster's claim that no disaster film was ever able to give the main lead a popular commercial award.

it was considered disaster as it was coming from legend Yash chopra . How unfortunate cos I believe that was one of his best movies ever . Sridevi is a delight !

I hope they hand to Alia for her disaster Jigra per absolutely loved that performance. If not her than begum or Kirti , both superb in bukingham murders and Do Patti.

Regardless I would be happy to see Kirti win popular award for TBMAJK . She is on roll and would love to see her in dhoom with RK smiley4
