Not overly melodramatic but more on talk it out sort of a show!!

Just finished the same.

Best they did not drag anything but some things did feel short cut. ML was matured, successful, introvert and had many feels to enact. Loved FL's smile. She was smart, quick witted and too sweet. Second best friend couple was cute too. I'm glad, there was no stupidity or over childishness shown and high school issues were like high school issues only, not over dramatic or too childish or too matured. 14 epis in C-drama is rare. A short and sweet watch for sure.

With or without the extended epilogue the drama ended with the happy note. The extended epilogue just shows how their life was after their daughter's birth.

The main drama ended with the ML coming back from the war (with the mandatory suspense of 'oh no will he come back or will he not'). And to elevate the suspense his face was not shown. That's the very last scene. The reason for the delayed return was not explained in the drama. It was in the novel though.

Coming back to your question tell me how you expected a happy ending in the epilogue with a dead ML in the main drama, I'm dead curious

I read on Reddit.. Like few were disappointed with ending.. I trust people here.. So I wanted to ask and confirm if I can start that show..

Kunning palace had a fantastic ending.. Both got married and have two beautiful kids.. It was so satisfying to watch.. I would rather not watch if it has tragic ending..

The ending was abrupt compared to the time they focused on the war. The last scene had the longest possible shot of his horse ride, & a dramatic turning back shot of the FL - I'd be pissed too. But as a whole picture, the drama is worth it.

Decide for yourself if you want to watch this. Since you're very particular about the ending this might disappoint you 0.01%

ALSO if you're looking for a LOT of romance, there isn't.

Apt I'm not sure if I'm convincing you to watch or drop, anyway...

Has anyone started watching - when the phone rings

The promo looks promising..... my guess is that the male lead likes the female and he will confess about liking her when he catches her with prooff of blackmailing him..

Family politics would have created misunderstanding between the male and female lead.
