MZZBN was a very popular novel of Umera Ahmed. It was bound to do well in Pak at least.

Agree about Zard. It should have been promoted well. Kashf Foundation had to keep press meet themselves to promote it. Hum is very bad at promoting its dramas.

if a novel is widely popular won't it affect the drama negatively as people will be aware of the story and the end . there won't be any suspence or excitement left .

take for example jo bache sang samet not mamy know about the story of that novel .

imo normal person especially the target audience are not much of novel reader

The thing is being messaged based on social doesn't mean a show won't have trp which I see many people saying here.

In that sense all of the mentioned drama should have trp

Merri Zaat Zara was kind of spiritual and karma story but it was highest trp getter for long time

For views global audience are less likely to watch any message based drama be it social ,village based or commercialized like QeZ, people watch drama for entertainment quotient mainly for romantic drama

The ZPKB was a perfect blend it has good romance,chemistry too but Hum did not publicise it well ,they could have used IM to promote it's teasers

Only Jaffa seems exception there rest of the dramas can't get more than 7M views

I feel the success of jafaa has a lot to do with seher khan .

I have same expectations with tann mann neelo Neel.

But a 10 point difference b/w Jafa and Yahya is insane. Never watched Yahya but I've generally seen favourable reviews & it seemed mainstream enough. Mabe it could have had a better shot in a Sun slot.

I don’t think so. I get more excited when the novels I have read get made into dramas. I might get a bit disappointed with the casting but I anyway end up watching the show.

We have examples of Harry Potter & Twilight as well. They have also been extremely well received.

Some adaptations like Amarbail have been disappointing though. The novel also was a popular one.

Humsafar was a very popular one & the show fared extremely well. ZGH & YKS were mid novels but the end products were outstanding. It depends on execution also. Pak has a good number of novel readers.

Not sure if it's because of Sehar or the character that she played which resembled Umeed of FT in initial episodes. When she played Mahapara in Rangmahal, she wasn't popular, but the show became a Super Hit. She chooses good scripts. But Tann Mann Neel o Meel won't be a success. It's a miniseries on Dead Saturday slot, and its first look is ignored on YouTube. Hum TV promoting multiple upcoming dramas at the same time won't help it either

I watched the last episode of Yahya after SH review.

I only watched the last episode but didn't feel like I need more to watch for story

Based on the last episode i liked it, unusual plot (because it dealt with the pain of much loved ML)

The performances were powerful and it has a mind blowing ost ,became a fan of it

Kushal Madiha had good chemistry

I think it was not promoted in a good way

They should have mentioned it is a short series , because from promo it looked like Mannat Muraad but it was not

that is a shitty show and numair Deepu track is so shallow.

I feel Saturday dead slot is not good reason for low trp.

both the show that flopped did not deserve to be hit. they were not interesting
