This thing man.. Yes in complicated and high risk pregnancies, the patient and family shd be ready to face anything. But that doesnt mean u have no right to feel traumatised. Chahe apna mind ko kitna bhi train karo, when an unfavorable situation happens for real all your courage and will power can fall short.. And there is nothing wrong in that... Actually we r busy judging everything on a practical basis completely forgetting the fact that there exists an emotional aspect too..

I think we as audience expect too much of her female character

The fact that she is being criticised for even thinking about the probability that her kids death would have wrecked her, is pathetic. Extremely pathetic.

Akshara who had very less chances of getting pregnant conceived twins and everyone thought dono bache nhi hei. Then one was saved aise sab dekhata hei dkp toh unke liye yeh baby ka exchange ghuma k bsp bana inke impossible nhi hei and even if this bsp turns out to bsp then voh ab nhi kuch track k baad hi samne aayega.

She already asked about NICU and is doubtful about Armaan's behavior. Still its not enough

3) Also, a woman is not allowed to be traumatized by her kids death just because she did not even want them in first place.

I am not a mother. But is it possible to not be traumatized by your kids death?

In my opinion a mother's connection with her baby is developed from the time she conceives. Feeling your baby inside, keeping a record of his/her development, feeling him/her moving and kicking. A mother who is attached to her baby can't even imagine losing the baby regardless of complications. Abhira was always hopeful of a miracle that would save her child's life. She even imagined herself dying but couldn't even think about her baby's death. Her panic or any mother panicking after not seeing her newborn baby or her husband not telling her where the baby is, wouldn't be considered OTT. Few might not panic or might not react the same way, as they already prepared their mind, but even after preparing their mind for worst, don't they have a breakdown?

@bold Trauma is quite subjective, it depends on how the person perceive his/her circumstances. Few mothers overcome pain of losing a child or miscarriage after days or months whereas few fall into depression, even when they already knew the baby had less chances of survival. I myself witnessed such cases.

@red In Gen 2/3 female lead was made to feel loved the way she is but here her self-worth is reduced to her ability to produce children which somewhere affected her brain, thinking ability and self-worth. I only object to Abhira's inability to think how her child's life would be, how he would survive without her, what if he/she developed deformities or disorders because of pregnancy complications. Being a mother I can understand what a child is for his/her parents, but planning to deprive ur lifeline of mother's love knowing he/she would be traumatized and will be guilt-tripped throughout his/her life, is so unfair to the unborn child.

Khair only Ruhi is allowed to give OTT reaction on not seeing her baby after waking up from coma though her baby could've also died after accident. She can get panic but Abhira can't.
