Ani has been extra dumbed down and passive in this track....atleast in Mumbai track he did a few things here and there even if the catalyst was some MU about Jhanak betraying him blah blah....but in this track they've just turned Ani into a passive blob who blindly accepts whatever he is told....lol

And don't even get me started on how Nutan's cavalier hair flipping attitude further disconnects everything....itni overacting ke saath she tries to act casual with Ani....even strangers show more regard talking to each other in a convo compared to how Nutan behaves with her weird attempts at nonchalance...it's all very clunkily written and performed....the strain on the narrative is showing from all sides but makers think they can keep ploughing through and no one will notice the disconnect

On the persona of Nutan… huge writing and directorial failure…… It’s not that the actor is not capable of showing a capacity to act within acting ifkwim…there appears to be an all round failure in getting that small distinction in the scenes. To be able to act indifferent or casual when actually not so within is what the team should have tried to…

I will give an example of a scene where the disconnect was too much.

Nutan hasn’t lost her memory… She has only imbibed a new identity … ofc people who take on new identity are always advised to change their mannerisms if incognito so I don’t have an issue with her mannerisms however I irritating they be😂 but that scene in temple, first of all the editing failure..when they run the flashback for Nutan - Boss Nutan ko kya yaad dila rahe ho… she knows she came here… audience ko yaad dila rahe ho kya? Humein yaad hain!! Additionally this pauper PH couldn’t shoot one scene at the flower shop with Nutan reminiscing her last time where the FB would have made sense like renewing her promise but expressing regret that she can’t get Ani there… Faltu photoshoots and promos are being shot… Personally..not a fan of monologues in a narrative so I am ok when they don’t show monologues but there must be a better way to indicate the constant state of being…The temple scene seemed disjointed from Jhanak’s side…. It seemed as if she was also recollecting about the pooja when the Panditji said 😂😂 Hiba has imbibed Nutan persona too much 😂😂😂 Krushal was in character throughout but he was saddled with bad dialogues..

the problem is this team doesn’t get it that in the absence of follow up scenes, every action seems a stand-alone scene. For instance, the director should have given a cue for a small expression change from when Ani was holding up that hand and then Nutan snapped her fingers. Either it was edited out or not shot but it looked out of place 😂😂

@bold: Again, bang on points.

The basic problem is the disconnect....no one has an issue with a bolder, more confident Jhanak....but it's the WAY you present it that can make or break it.....Nutan as you said is just a persona, she is still Jhanak inside so why are we not shown that conveyed via her memories or emotions? All emotions suddenly have been swooped away simply cuz she has to enact a new persona? That's not how it works.....this is a very one dimensional portrayal of a person taking on a new persona.

And because they never show much about her emotions as Jhanak and only show her following her new found father around like a sheep as if nothing existed before Nutan, it becomes all the more jarring when they suddenly plop her in front of Ani and try to show some kind of haa hee hee casual strangers act. As you said, how much effort would it have taken to show a build up of the mandir scene that she came here to pray for Ani? Instead the scene starts abruptly with Nutan doing her put on nonchalance acting of why she is at the mandir and then suddenly diverts into totally aimless talk about kisko Ani ki wife maana jaata hai and andar/bahar ka sach blah blah ..very flat scene.

Krushal for his part is still showcasing Ani's emotions and tadap even though he has also mostly been pushed into a stagnant depressed mode for Ani....but he is still trying to hold the emotions together no matter how weird the dialogues....and I guess the tacky dialogues will remain a staple in this show so no helping that. But makers are least bothered with showing some flow in Jhanak's emotions.....the fact that she has ZERO regret for giving so much pain to the ones who are presuming her dead...that is where the disconnect starts and it only worsens the more lame attitude she throws around about being nonchalant.

Every character in this story has made mistakes and said hurtful things from time to time but it is only Jhanak who is blind even to the hurt being shown right in front of her.....in Mumbai track, they both MU-ed each other because they were putting on a persona of being with other people but now Ani is openly showing in front of Jhanak that he is still pining for her even after thinking she's dead and we are shown ZERO response from Jhanak to this....it is very hard to connect to such a character.

And you are right, they messed up the editing for the moment when she snaps her finger at him too....no change in expression and just suddenly jumped to her snapping him out of his musings. Again it makes her look like she is an actual stranger and not Jhanak inside....we don't need method acting for this track when already the leads are being shown seperated...then you should be making more effort to showcase a connect rather than further dismissing it.

Also agree that every scene will end up being viewed as a stand alone since they rarely show any flow or follow up scenes for the plotline of the leads, whatever little is left at this point.....lol and even there they can't be bothered making the stand alone scenes work properly either

Instead we need to make soooo much more effort to listen to the dukhiyara plight of Vinayak the ever suffering husband jiski itni achhi beti hai Arshi
