Not exactly vamp...she was a bit like Urooj. Her mother(Shagufta Ejaz), the hero's bua, was the main villain, she pretended to be the bechari bewa with a sanskari beti, living in her brother's house. She was madly in love with Ahsan Khan's character and goes mad after he divorces her once he finds out her truth.

Mehru sees everything as black and white and is a very straightforward and naive person. She is not someone who thinks another human being can be that bad or go to any extend to get their way.

She had a similar role in that Maya ali drama as well and I think in it also she ends up committing suicide.

I hate it when pak dramas give extreme punishments for grey and negative female characters while give a clean chit to toxic and abusive male characters
