When Sajid Khan got accused he was in his flop era so no one supported or defended him including his own sister and cousin. That’s why he got shunned.

Accusations against Hirani was corroborated by Huffington Post and the victim was shielded and supported by Anupama Chopra initially. But since Hirani was the top filmmaker with the magic touch people started talking about how he couldn’t have done this because he’s a great guy yada yada yada. This included Javed Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, and others but I don’t remember those names.

What killed the MeToo movement, in Bollywood at least, was the fact that once Hirani was accused Bollywood didn’t want to pursue it anymore and everything just died down.

As there is no proof that your thinking is 'right' or 'wrong', it's just your opinion and I won't reject it. My own opinion is about the observations I made.

The fact that Sajid's "own sister and cousin" didn't give him support happened, imo, because they knew that he did what he was accused of and not because he wasn't successful in his work.

Hirani's collaboratrice and her claim is a whole other story and I think, in the heat of the MeToo-wave, the Chopras and the Fox-Studios may have reacted a 'tad' too quickly...as far as I know, neither the Chopras nor any other woman sustained the claims of that woman after the initial uproar and Hirani gave a valuable reason why the young woman may have accused him.

Anyways, it is very difficult to judge - from the viewpoint we have. So, of course, I won't claim that my opinion is the 'right' one...it's just another one.
