Yes Aarohi started to discipline her later. But the initial Ruhi was spoilt and over pampered. And Aarohi's attempts to discipline her was also brushed aside by the mom-son duo.

They made soft, well mannered Abhir a brat because they were too stupid to see that separating him from his parents against his will was not the way to get his love.
