Whenever he has mentioned our country, it has been in one of two ways----

India, the country that “is doing great” these days, that he sees not as an “emerging market” but an “amazing market.” This India is an opportunity—among other things, the site of future Trump-branded properties.

On another occasion, he declared—India, the country that’s taking American jobs and, along with China and other countries, eating America’s lunch—or, as Trump has put it, its candy. This India is a challenge, a country that “takes advantage” and is “ripping off the U.S.”

Not unusually, Trump’s categories aren’t neatly divided. For example, at an event, he first mimicked Indian call centre workers to complain about outsourcing but then said, “India is a great place.” He’s complained about Indians taking American jobs, but also emphasised that he has “tremendous jobs” going up in India!!

Indians have taken a greater than usual interest in this election and in Trump. On the one hand, he is a presidential nominee that is more familiar to Indians than any other candidate has been in history; on the other, perhaps the least familiar one—at least in terms of his politics and policies. There have been multiple discussions about whether Trump would be good or bad for India. There’s been coverage of Indian-Americans who support or oppose Trump, as well as attention on—and criticism about—his views of minorities and immigrants.

Some believe that Republicans have been better for India than Democrats—but Trump is not a typical Republican, and many Republicans they know in the foreign policy establishment have said they’d never work in a Trump administration

Overall he seems a good leader for his own country. India will have better relations with USA if trump comes into power.

Also his views on migrants is something that I agree upon. He understands the dangers associated with this migrant population, which is something that India too needs to care of. USA can become a support for India in taking policies against illegal migrants in world councils.

Edited. Lets see who wins.

For India offcourse we can't expect Spoon feeding like help from USA but trump's arrival can surely improve bilateral relationships which will support India in macro issues such as terrorism, crimes due to refugee etc.

Like I previously said that trump is a good leader for his own country , from his perspective he is considerate and prioritises the employment of Americans.

I guess we know the reality that Indians do take up a major portion of jobs in America. Especially IITians followed by large number of non iitians as well. While IITians do get green card for USA and are wholeheartedly welcomed there , the other employees take work permit which comes with various regulations and limitations. In a nutshell, Indians do fill up large number of job vacancies.

While getting jobs in USA may be favourable for us Indians, the same isn't very appeasing for the native people especially when it poses a hindrance to their employment rate.

I mean ,will we Indians like if a large section of our jobs are taken by some other nationality people while our own people struggle and succumb to high competition.

I may go to the extent of saying that Trump is indeed a patriot for his country because he thinks for their wellbeing.

India isn't in a very favorable situation presently. We're surrounded by enemies who want no good , neither for us nor for humanity in general.

Pakistan along with China, coupled with traitors in our own country are ready to nibble India. India needs support of power giants like Russia , USA to tackle such lobbying.

If Trump wins, it will be terrible for the US and the majority of the world. He is not a patriot and he is not a good leader for this country, aka the USA. I don’t know if the perspectives here are from Indians living in India or US or American- Indians living in the US, but he is most definitely not a good person or a good leader. In fact, he is a convicted felon and would be behind bars if it was anyone other than Trump
