Any married woman looks for security, safety and respect from their in-laws. Just like Alia wouldn’t have married Ranbir if he came from a background like Rajkumar Rao or Nawazuddin.

Like it or not Ash married only for the sur name. It’s more like an arranged marriage coz Abhishek on paper ticked all boxes for Ash’s parents and herself - Hindu, rich, legacy name, promising actor (at the time).

You can bet that Saif is very relaxed about his position in the Hindi filmindustry...since long he has nothing to prove to anyone.

Did I say she would have married him if he was not a Bachchan? I was saying she could have found much better men and families for marriage.

Every single woman looks for a good, reputed family and not just how good a man is.

To me, there is an - understandable - pattern in Aish's choice of relationships/investing her physical beauty...I would name it a 'need for security & acceptance' (which is - in my thinking - an understandable wish in such a competitive professional field like acting in movies).

She found a personal balance in the initial stage of her relationship with Abhishek (who - at a certain stage in their marriage - realized that he won't match Aish's expectations like he wasn't allowed to meet his father's ones, latter single-handedly destroying every positive family-dynamic that could/would threaten his position). One can't deny that Aish - at the very beginning - catered more to Amitji's ego than to Abhishek's love (whatever she may have said in the 'typical' hyper public love-confessions I came to experience from Indians smiley1). Getting a prominent professional position doesn't always go hand-in-hand with a harmonious private life - especially when working in the same competitive field.

Aish changed her role in life from actress to mother in 2011, after a year of disappointing outcome of her movies.

It really is a sad state of affairs what happened to both of them.
