If it opens at 35-40 shouldn’t the life time be a bit more? Past 200 crores at least? Specially if the WOM is on the decent side? Unless you expect a drop on the weekend itself?

Why are these two movies clashing? Is it a case of each producer was expecting the other one to move and then no one moved? Or is each side just overconfident in their own product?

In my opinion around 300-350 crores

They shouldn't have released both the movies on the same day and should have avoided the clash if they wanted more numbers to their movies.Both the films would have done better business as a solo release since both of them are part of two popular franchise & the audience seems to be excited for both.Since the budget of this movie is around 350+ crores they needed to earn a lot to get hit/super hit/blockbuster tag double than BB3.I agreed with what you wrote that masala movies are currently not performing very good in box office especially Rohit Shetty had some duds recently also the movie storyline is predictable with all the stars of the movie being against villain Arjun no curiosity factor in the movie but the movie have lots of cameos from many actors,it's ramayan theme,it is sequel of a hit franchise etc so these things may work with the movie.But its overall business I feel will be more than you predicted

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 And Singham Again First Day Estimates

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again have scored excellent numbers combined which will go over 65 crore nett between them which is the highest opening day collection ever but its come for two films. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has scored an excellent first day with collections in the 30-31 (early estimates) crore nett range and has done very well all over and fantastic in some circuits.

Singham Again is looking to be around 35-37 (early estimates) crore nett and is also is a very good collection though it will not be seen like that as its a huge film and needs higher first day numbers but eventually you can only do what the box office allows you to do and a collection of 45 or 50 crore nett was never on with a clash against another major release.

Singham Again has scored fantastic collections in Gujarat and here collections are as they should be for a huge film like Singham Again but other areas are not as strong. It is very good in Maharashtra but with the Singham brand it could have been better. The rest of the country is good outside East Punjab and West Bengal which have seen very average collections.

The problem for the film is that outside Maharashtra / Gujarat the competition which is a much smaller film has given it a good fight and even leads in places. Singham Again had opened lower than Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Delhi / UP but a good push in UP will enable to edge past in the circuit though by a minimal margin. But it could not afford to be as close as this in a huge circuit like Delhi / UP. It needed that Mumbai circuit margin at least in the UP side which has not come. The film has ground to cover and remains to be seen where it goes from here.
