totally loved him in this avtar
Neil is really a great actor. The subtle nuances he picked up for a small character not even having 5 minutes of screen time, its really commendable. He is very hard working.
even with just a small moustache and specs used in get up, he looked unrecognizable as mangesh kumar with the accent and mannerism.
I laughed out loud when he addressed Mathew as matthu

Yeah, even I later observed the significance of the messed up/shabby appearance of Virat post leap.
And actually it's undoubtedly very, very natural thing to happen to anybody. Though people esp. in India tend to ignore this, but one's good/bad mental state impacts the overall well-being ultimately. If one is going through rough patches or tough times in their life, where one's soul is overwhelmingly drowned in gloominess, unhappiness, depression, suffering bereavement & mentally grieving, then it visibly reflects through your overall physical well-being & surely impacts your outward physical appearance adversely. Your inner charm & enthusiasm dims awat beczSelf love & self care is nowhere a priority for a grieving person.
whereas, when one is in the best phase of their life, having the best time of their life with their loved ones, then one naturally blooms & glows from within. People shine through & are physically fit & in their best shape, in their happier times & in their prime. So, our Mental well-being ultimately determines our physical well-being. Vibes never lie, vibes are infectios, both positive & negative
Similar thing happened with Virat, his physical well-being detoriated when he lost his willingness to live, & he started bouncing back, when he found about Sai, Vinu & Savi
It indeed resonated, fulfilled the need, it was unintentionally a very nice touch & very thoughtful from Ghum PH, but I also highly doubt Ganja PH's capability to think deeply & using this much of brain
Hii
I am new to this forum. Just checking threads and stumbled upon this one. I am intrigued by the topic. Of course why wouldnt I, you were discussing about Neil Bhatt's looks.
As someone who has followed almost all of his shows since the very starting, even when he was not an actor, yes, I happened to notice him since he participated in dance reality show boogie woogie and I have loved him ever since. He has done so many good shows and variety of roles. As Abhinav in Karol bagh he was cute while as Kesar in Gulaal, he just stole the show with his performance. He has always delivered what was asked from him as a character and it includes working on his looks too.
I was just watching again his old shows and my God! He stole my heart again with those innocent young looks. He didnt have typical hero type of personality like long height, fair complexion but he did have something in his eyes and his overall personality which made him attractive. In his young age he looked like a boy next door and I used to drool over him.
As he aged, he got sexier. He dropped that boy next door persona but adapted this mature and calm demeanor yet retaining the agility of body...I guess due to his dancing skills. Absolutely loved him as cop in Diya aur baati. I guess because of that only he bagged Virat's role in ghum. He looked so handsome as Virat in initial episodes of the show. But yes as the show progressed, his looks keep changing. There were episodes he would look so out of shape and tired but then those were the episodes where Virat was shown as broken man and in pain. Neil is someone who believes in lots of preparation for character. He really picks up subtle nuances and believes in method acting. So I would like to believe that he purposefully did that in ghum. But unfortunately due to unwanted hatred towards him for his personal life decisions ( marriage) from some immature people, he was even ridiculed for looking like that.
People just cant understand the fact that no one can looks good all the time. They failed to see his hard work. In my opinion even Ayesha Singh had put on weight too post leap but no body ridiculed her...all were being just andhbhakts....anyways lets not go there...its altogether a new headache to remember how how Neil was targeted personally for no fault of his.
Recently the character of Mangesh kumar in the MB is a proof how seriously he takes his characters. That character hardly had 5 minutes of screen space and yet Neil did amazing job and transformation for it.
I am just happy he is getting all the praises and credit at least in this show, there are no haters as such till now.
He is looking absolutely fantastic in MB. Right from the starting, the mature look suits him. The hot headed son of Talwar family but yet calm and composed IAS officer. Hats off to him to pull through this dynamic character and personality traits.

Your comment about Mangesh Kumar reminded me of the scene where Sai imagined them to be old and Virat being diagnosed with alzheimer's.
In this scene when he acted as an old man, even for a scene less than 5 mins as usual, he did a complete homework of how an old Virat would behave. His dedication to his craft is 100% ..Hopefully one day he'll be rewarded with what he deserves.
@Asur I got reminded of your analysis wrt this scene. It's impossible to find it as needle in a haystack but I am still in awe with your description of his acting.
Thankyou so much for the kind words Andy. I appreciate them so much
as I always say, he makes me write. Words just flow out because of his brilliance
