Anyway, sometimes I feel critics kill the fun of a show. It’s just entertainment and I just want to enjoy it.

Excited about tomorrow’s episode. Hope it doesn’t center around the trio. I’m not invested in their storyline

The Hijra line bugged me too. If it came from a character who is known to use crass language and it is it’s obvious that it was supposed to be in bad taste then I might have let it go. I don’t think that’s Hira’s character though. Zeher went on for too long too. Bilal’s lines were fine with me because they are in line with his character at this point in time.

So did you like Gentleman? If I’m not wrong, you were enjoying it right? I’m getting such mixed reactions on it so I can’t figure out if it’s worth watching. It will give me a feel for his recent writing. I have to be really motivated to watch something in the gangster genre.

It’s not for everyone for sure. These lines in Gentleman happened towards the second half so by that time most watching were already invested in the characters. SMD it’s happening from the get go along with the alcohol angle some people are not liking. The first half went fine and personally I enjoyed the supporting characters and cast much more than I’m doing with SMD. The cast was just better, frankly. And no matter the crappy story telling you still enjoyed performances. Zahid, Humayun, Adnan, Yumna, Sohai, Ahmed, you can’t fault their performance despite the writing. There was also more humor in the other show which helped. Surprisingly it got a happy ending too. Sort of.

GM’s issues are just different than SMD - the social political commentary and philosophy was annoying. The parts which were not that were loads better so I’m hopeful SMD will do well considering it’s purely a romance drama. There will be no other preachy agenda

Some of the stuff that they criticized is fair but some things they didn’t get, I don’t understand how they couldn’t. Only the host seemed to get it, was it because he watches more like a casual viewer?

Some judges are biased

Same happened with one more person who gave very less marks to ZPKB to make another drama win and Mukarram used to correct her too, she was ultimately changed from next week

Reviewers have their biases too like the man with glasses clearly likes the director of SMD so he was being more lenient

It doesn't mean SMD is good, it is nowhere close to something like ZPKB which is on air currently but she had refused to give numbers to episode 46 of TB and similar treatment to SMD doesn't make sense at all

Yes this is true. Avoid the reviews then. I’ve been tuning in to see the Wahaj praise and mostly they have been praising him which is nice to see. Even Amina did who doesn’t like the show. She said she is watching only for him

My dad liked Gentleman…I had no idea until recently that he was a watching it, but oddly that’s doing the opposite of persuading me to watch it. His choice of shows are usually so boring 😂 I think he actually liked the political part of it…maybe it’s geared towards his demographic. I might still give it a try. I’m more into romance so SMD just gives me those classic romance vibes. Hopefully it will serve.

Every dad, uncle, chacha mamaa taaya in my family has seen it too and liked it So it did have its audience and I’m glad shows which cater to male audience are getting made. However SMD is female audience driven. For starters it has at least 4 female characters while Gentleman just had 2 🤦🏻‍♀️

KRQ does have his strong points. He usually writes strong familial dynamics which we see in both shows. It’s not all bad. Baki I am depending on Wahaj to keep me invested

Call me crazy i don't even watch this drama ,saw few scenes here and there. Am i the only one who found more chemistry between Wahaj and hira's characters 🤔

nadia had tiff with the director too.

he directed jannat se aage which was basically trolling morning show . nadia was very upset and criticised the show in kya drama hai .

the director replied back .

so it is not only about the writer but the director too
