I don't know about sridevi. How deserving can she be when she married and already married mithun..then she fell pregnant to married man Boney, who is anything but Boney. I am not saying that since she is a homewrecker she deserves hell.. rather.. she had her sights set pretty low... so she got what she wanted and deserved .

Instagram has so many reels of people hyping Rekha's adhura pyaar smiley29 and sympathising with her. Jaya is the villain.

Yes, I agree. I like Sridevi as an actress but as a person, this was a huge red flag. She had a habit of going after married men, including Jeetendra. She befriended Boney's wife Mona and put a rakhi on Boney in front of her. I have no idea if that was her idea or his but the fact that after they got married with a shotgun wedding, she told Boney he was forbidden to stay in contact with Arjun and Anshula also tells me she wasn't as good a person as we'd like to believe. I know she had a troubled past with a stage mom and not enough affection, but there's only so much you can excuse.

What I've found in general is that most of our stars are more appealing onscreen than offscreen. The wide majority of them should emulate the characters they play onscreen because their onscreen personas are far more likable and sympathetic than who they might really be in real life.

In Sridevi's case, she even made public claims that she would never marry a married man so it's somewhat more insulting that she did the exact opposite of what she said.

Jaya has unfortunately turned public opinion against her with her attitude in front of the media. Before I started seeing her stunts in public, I admired her because I only knew her from the characters she played in the movies. Usually self-sacrificing mothers like in K3G, KHNH, and Fiza. Then I started to actually watch her real life videos and she comes across as so rude and belligerent. Her stunt with Sonali Bendre where she walked off immediately when Sonali wanted to take a picture with her was so unnecessary.

In contrast, Rekha is always graceful. She's always kind to fans and to fellow stars, acting as a mentor to young actors. She's at every awards show and big event so she keeps herself relevant and her performances are superb so she hasn't lost her starpower. She hasn't done a movie in a decade but she's still a household name in an era when most young people don't know anyone who is older than a 90s star.

The way you maintain yourself also is a big deal, especially if you're a woman. Jaya let herself gain weight and she doesn't dye her hair or wear a lot of makeup. Rekha is always dressed like a new bride, in her signature gold sarees, with full makeup and hair done to keep herself looking timeless. So frankly, even from a physical perspective, most fans will see Jaya look like a grumpy old lady who let herself go whereas Rekha looks like a diva.

Yet people cannot see the main man who wronged two women. People cannot see why she is so bitter and grumpy. The couple interview of Jaya, Big B with Simi is painful to watch.

Jeetendra's was a rumour. His wife and Ekta used to like her..Even after her death Ekta praised her expressing her pain of losing her.Boney says that he was after Sridevi for 10 years. But Sridevi didnt mind him.In a tamil show Sridevi saif that during her mom's operation only Boney stood by her and when she lost her parents she felt that only Bonay is there for her,he became her dad and mom,so she decided to marry him.But Boney said that he is sad that Sridevi never said anything romantic about him and always says that he is like her parent.Even Jayalalitha says the same about MGR.

I thought this was really interesting because she admits that Main Hoon Na didn't promote her before the film's release. But the audience reaction to her role in the film was so huge that from not being featured on any posters for the movie, suddenly all the promotion included her. What's more heartwarming is that she doesn't attribute this success to herself. She says its the audience who had the power to uplift her like this. And I think that's so grateful of her to say and also so true.

A lesson KJo needs to learn because before he began meddling with his nepos, it really was we the audience who had the power to make stars. This is how Mohabbatein became Aishwarya's film and she was all over the film's promotion post-release and what happened with Sushmita in Main Hoon Na as well. Nowadays, it's KJo who tells the audience who the stars are and that we have no choice to accept them because they're acting in everything now. That's backfired on him because he failed to realize that audiences will simply stop watching then. So props to Sushmita for reminding us that we the audience are the ones with the power and she's really so gracious because her Miss Chandni as an iconic role.

Lol are you not a Jackie Shroff fan. It's interesting that you highlighted both Manisha and Urmila with songs they did with Jackie.

One was just trying to answer the question of this thread. smiley4
