HARYANA VIDHAN SABHA ELECTION RESULTS 90 SEATS

BJP: 48

CONGRESS: 37

INDEPENDENT: 3

Indian National Lok Dal (INLD): 2

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP): 0

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday won a historic third mandate in Haryana after security 48 seats in the 90-member assembly.

The party's performance surpassed even its 2014 breakthrough, when the BJP first came to power on its own.

Both its seat share and vote share, 53.3% and 39.9% respectively are the highest ever for the party in any assembly election in the state.

In the 2019 assembly polls, the BJP won 40 seats out of 90, and its vote share was 36.49%. The Congress, meanwhile, had a 28.08% vote share for its 31 seats.

Bucking anti-incumbency, the ruling party in the state has retained power and even increased their seats and vote share from last time.

From the Julana seat, Congress's Vinesh Phogat registered a victory, defeating her nearest BJP rival, Yogesh Kumar, by a margin of 6,015 votes.

Aam Aadmi Party gets just 1.76% of vote share despite contesting all 90 assembly constituencies. They polled votes even less than none of the above (NOTA) option in many places.

Except for AAP candidate Adarsh Pal Singh who ended up third with 43,813 votes in Jagadhri constituency all its 87 candidates are set to forfeit their security deposit.

On the Pehowa seat that Kejriwal termed the “sasural” of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, AAP candidate Gehal Singh Sandhu polled just 890 of the 1.28 lakh votes.

JAMMU & KASHMIR VIDHAN SABHA ELECTION RESULTS 90 SEATS

Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKN): 42

BJP: 29

INDEPENDENT: 7

CONGRESS: 6

Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP): 3

Jammu & Kashmir People Conference - JPC: 1

Communist Party of India (Marxist) - CPI(M): 1

For Jammu and Kashmir, it was the first Assembly elections in 10 years. This was also the first Assembly election in the UT after the abrogation of special status under Article 370 in August 2019.

The BJP secured the highest vote share among all parties with 25.64%, followed closely by the JKN with 23.43%, while Congress garnered 11.97% of the votes.

BJP shines in Jammu division, wins 10 out of 11 seats. 30 Hindu-majority seats in J&K, of which the BJP won 29. In Kashmir, BJP is at ZERO.

Loharu Assembly Seat— the birthplace of Kejriwal.

He contested the entire Haryana election with the slogan, 'I am the son of Haryana, and the people of Haryana should take revenge on BJP for sending me to jail.'

AAP candidate got 806 votes on that seat smiley36

I think it's high time they separate Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu will always be neglected by Abdullahs and Muftis who are very likely to keep ruling due to the loyalty of their vote bank.

I too want Jammu to get separated from Kashmir.

But it shouldn't happen.

Keeping Kashmir with Jammu makes sure that Kashmir doesn't try to break away.

I feel it would be be better agar Jammu mein seats increase ho jae.

Also, it is a UT so zyada kuch karne ke liye hain nahi uss govt ke pass.
