It seems like TRP or money doesn’t matter to Shahi uncle anymore. He just wants to keep the show running in this time slot until it hits his desired episode count. After that, he’ll probably introduce a new show to replace "Rishta" in the same slot. It feels like it’s all about his ego now, as if only he has the right to air a show at this specific time on this particular channel. He doesn't seem to care about the actors, the storyline, TRP, budget, or whether the publicity is positive or negative.

Rohit Poddar has only two jobs, not die and procreate with Ruhi at some point so that Armaan and Abhira's probable daughter also has a terrible life

Vaise yeh Dadi x Babli wala naatak has happened in gen 2 also. OG Akshara’s daadi was Suhasini’s neighbour and would call her Babli. Unhone bhi ek episode mein aake daata tha Suhasini ko and Suhasini bent over backwards to make her happy. Gen 4 is 80% gen 2 and 20% something else.
