One sided love is difficult to accept for anyone who has to deal with it. So, for me I understand why Ani is so confused and conflicted about his love for Jhanak. It’s frustrating to love someone who rejects you so many times, so to accept his feelings he needs to go into total darkness where only Jhanak’s love will be the light for him. He is already in so much pain, Krushal is acing it, that I feel like crying when I see Ani’s face, all his raunak and happiness went away and he is dead like his walking corpse with malfunctioning brain that Arshi took from him and his bleeding heart that Jhanak took from him

What do we know about his sufferings? Maybe just one percent. Pyar mein log pagal ho jaate hain, his love brought him only disappointment at this stage.

I recall when in IPKND Arnav got to know about Khushi and Shyam affair (faked by Shyam), his disappointment and hate towards Khushi was so strong that he cried on the road, he then went ahead to marry her to protect his sister’s marriage from her, he insulted her, abused her physically and still many people think it’s the most beautiful love story. Yes, he was feeling bad because Gul Khan can handle such things better than Leena, but I feel Ani is someone close to Arnav about creating an image of a woman in his head and obsess about it

He said it in his mind...while Arshi was accusing him of loving J...if he accepted his love for J he would have been in extreme pain of separation...kyunki J tab tak BH chhod k ja chuki thi and he accepted Arshi as his wife..at this stage acceptance of love for J will break him emotionally..

This is like Ani’s typical self defence mechanism. He thinks unless he accepts it consciously, the thing does not exist.
