A lot of the issues ,especially sexual harassment in the industry cannot be reduced to a virtue problem in the men of the industry. In films the power is centralised. And it's still highly unregulated compared to other industries. Money plays a huge role and, money is tied to politics and in some cases the mafia. Producers wouldn't want the bankability of the stars to be tainted with scandals or legal proceedings so they'd do anything to stop victims from doing anything of consequence. And when the people with money are pulling strings politicians come into the picture. So there's a maze of stuff to go through before proposing anything . And this is why ' solidarity' is also a problem. Established actors ( and actresses) cannot say anything specific unless they're ready to lose their acting careers , get their real estate and their other businesses in a stew etc. It's not as simple as finding a blue dress with stains and booing the guy out.

But it's great that something is happening after the lull post the Dileep -Actress incident . There will be a ripple effect in other industries and junior artists or the ones with less power will be encouraged to speak up . If anything good is going to come out of this ,it's this ..that there will be demands for transparency. Some transparency .

Kuch nahi hoga yaha bhi. It is really a sad state of affairs. Such a shame. These people were such respected figures in Kerala.

Why can't people behave themselves? Is it that difficult to not be a$$#$&$#?
