Abhimaan wasn’t exactly on emotional infidelity. It could have bordered on that. The focus was more on wife getting more successful than the husband because she was more talented than him. His jealousy and rage led to her trauma and she miscarries. But they reconcile in the end. One of the finest movies. Absolutely love the movie.

No it definitely did involve emotional cheating too. He got so jealous of his wife's success that started spending nights (albeit asexually) at his ex's (Bindu's) house who was still in love with him. So much so that Jaya's character had to go fetch him from her house. Emotional cheating is not always blatantly intentional.

It is also creepy how much their real marriage mirrored that film. Her being intially more popular than him. Her being more talented than him and taking a backseat post-marriage. The well-documented emotional abuse and brewing resentment. Just tragic.

Itv fans do still want the FLs to go back to the trash husbands for turu lobh lol.

The only thing worth noting in the episode is Ar's standpoint on the name change. He once again gave back to Kaveri and calmly explained to Ab the significance of a name in someone's life. This person is reaching newer heights every day and surprising us just when we are thinking there is nothing higher for anyone to go. People are taunting him when being called a green flag but any woman would die to have such a green flag in her life including the people taunting. I love this green flag .

It is still ironic that fandom collectively decided on this ship name when it is the title of the most famous film about a terrible marriage, and I find it mildly funny. I detest Abhira as a couple and Abhira (fearless) is a better shipname for a married couple than Abhimaan lol. It wasn't an attack on the fans for liking the couple at all. The OP said it was the perfect couple name and I was just responding to that. You did not have to double down so hard.

In everyday usage , when someone says they feel abhimaan over something or someone, its meant positively. Hence its a great couple name. Because it means pride. And even if there is a degree of "self centricness" to the word which is their "couple name" then its probably nice. They should place each other and their relationship first over others in PH.

I honestly dont care for your sources because you can always find a source to support what you say on the Internet. 🙄 If you don't like the couple name, thats fine. But many of us love it and will continue to do so.
