I am sorry maybe I would agree with some of the posts here but this one I disagree. First of all, Yunus isnt even a puppet of Jamat infact the Jamat party ppl are not fond of him, they like rather have Hasina than him. Yunus lived overseas for many years even his first wife was a Christian.
If Bangladesh was a Hindu country and they started the ceremony with reading the Geeta I dont see what’s wrong in that.
Those who said Yunus could be a puppet of US government that is a posibility, but him being a puppet of Jamat that’s ridiculous.
If any party takes over instead of the interim party for these 3 months, it will be nothing but worse for the minorities.
I am sad that this thread turned from a genuine concern for Bangladeshis to a Hindu vs Muslim thread.
Agree if it's a Hindu country oath taking on Geetha wouldn't be a problem, except for India, because then secularism will be in danger. Oath taking on quran is the most auspicious thing for human kind because there's only Pakistan till now the kalma wali kaum.
It's rather mysterious to witness how a small protest on reservation can topple the government leading to looting and mass murdering religious minorities in India's neighbouring country. Even more intriguing is how a Nobel Laureate could warn or should we call threaten Indian government that the violence could spill into India through Bengal.
It's incomprehensible for normal human IQ to just ignore and continue to live in those cozy confines of our fools paradise, because it didn't hurt us or our extended family it's just happening with our neighbouring country sharing a mere 4096 kilometres only the 5th largest border in the WORLD.

Bro its not just Hindus but even Muslims and other religions are attacked too. The extremist and some of Hasina’s party ppl are attacking Hindus to create a false narrative that only Hindus are attacked. The truth is in the protest and aftermath most of the attacks were done regardless of religion. People of Bangladesh have made this an issue of Hindu vs Muslim, we did not.
During the protest, many students died , and they have attacked people in mosques too! The issue was never really Hindu vs Muslim. 900+ people were killed during those protests regardless of their religions and some went missing too. After Hasina finally stepped down, there were attacks on other places as some parties took advantage of a missing government.
Some of the news of temples being attacked were true sadly, and many of the Bangladeshi students and public guarded the temples and minorites places all night and after that there have been a reduce in attacks since then. But some were false rumours spreaded to divert people from the actual issue.

Whenever it's about atrocities against Hindus, it's always given the name of propaganda to hurt the image of a community, I would have believed you only If I was unaware about the pattern, kill them, use something as shield, if truth comes out call it as fake and propaganda, genocide of hindus have never being acknowledged as genocide.

I don't know what Jamat and his relation is so will take whatever you say as true, however having a state leader take oath on a religious book is the first step towards it becoming religiously aligned officially
