You know this reminds of that first conversation they had in his room I think when she was sweeping , ani motivated her and she felt so grateful. He told her you are born to do big things and he hasn’t brought her to become a maid. She actually felt like she can do something , then things changed , he called her maid several times , insulted her , that confused her more as she is a simple minded girl and Ani Bose and his schemes are too hard for her to understand. Yes , he is much simple than Anirudh.But in all this confusion he had his own issues . He covered them and stood by her . He never let her go back from her studies or her dance .Its his hardwork and her talent that helped her now. Anirudh is the first ever person who boosted confidence in Jhanak , even her Kashmir festival dance .How nicely he motivated her and gave her ghunghroo .Rudra has nothing like that. He just found her dancing good and tried to help her. And actually he should have been shown as openly helping her than this hiding from his own students as he is their Guruji.I didnt understand why they made him lie same as Anirudh when it was not at all needed. That is why I felt him as a parallel drawn with few changes in his family set up and he himself being a dancer .That is why people loved him and felt strong support than Anirudh . Anirudh wss trapped with his family and Jhanak and still stood firm for her career and studies . Else she would have been a maid her whole life given her attitude towards life . If Anirudh just continued his life with Arshi after reaching Kolkata she would not have completed her studies nor got any ad shoot nothing .And not even this mumbai escape.

I was speaking about their very old Kashmir talks...he telling her about how talented she is when he saw her dance in that festival and then motivated her from there on...

Yes that first meeting he was so motivating , he has been a selfless human being always. we know what he was going through to help J but from jhanak POV didn’t he come across as a complicated human being and still is a complicated being ? She has always fell short when it comes to try to understand anirudh. She has said it many times I don’t understand you … she recognizes his help but at the same time everything with him becomes so complicated she just bolts !
