Romit is bringing a very bitter version of rohit. You are right. he is not passing as a happy go lucky guy. while we can reason this by saying it was because of the betrayal, there is a negativity in his portrayal. There is a bts scene with him and the cousins and he is telling them to tell abhira not to trust armaan and it sounds so villainous and cunning when it isn't supposed to be that way.

I saw the bts .To me it sounded as his misplaced anger and not villainous. And I am loving his depiction of Rohit (apart from Sautela/Paraya stuff). Yesterday when Kaveri declined to include Ar for the movie party, there was no cunningness/evilness on his face. If he was really bitter he would have shown cunning/evil pleasure,satisfaction but there was none. His dialogues to his cousins about why Ab is still stuck with Ar is also superficial anger and not appearing to be genuine. And actually both during colege canteen fight and the Kabbadi match he wanted to help Ar but was forcing himself to be in control and not help him. It was very well done by the actor.

At bold 1- I think 2 things r possible. First may be Ru Birla truly had hridayaparivarthan. I dont know for how long but for the time being she had.

Second she is once again trying to pursue her umeed wholeheartedly.. Chances r more for this.Or makers would have understood that showing Ru-Ro's angst wont give them a rise in ratings. Seeing this week's epis there r high chances that rishta may slip to 5th position next week. So they r planning to introduce new track 🥲

And it is hard to believe that in 2 days she will wholeheartedly change. Either she will not change ever or it will be a slow change after seeing Rohit's acceptance and love.

But since she decided to come back on Ar's insistence, I am pretty sure Ar will again be blamed for this move later somewhere down the lane. Or if he dies later Ar will be guilt tripped to take her responsibility (and maybe at the expense of losing Ab even). I see only doom in his far future because of his involvement with Ruhi/Rohit matter thanks to Vidya the great. It will be this time only due to Vidya's insistence as he will try his best not to listen to V's request but at the end give in.
