Ajivika panth was contemporary to Buddhism and Jainism. It was founded by Gosala Maskariputra also known as Makkhali Gosala born in cowshed of Saravana village.

Ajivikas believed in fatalism as its philosophy.

"Nath Sampradaya" or "Nath Panth", founder Guru Gorakhnath or Gorakshnath, was said to be born out of Cow dung

Edited: Nath Sampraday was founded by Lord Aadi Nath, who is Lord Shiv Himself.

The correct answer is the Ajivika sect founded by Makkali Gossala.


Unfortunately we do not have much primary inputs about him..


Most we get to know is from Buddhist and Jain sources which owing to their rivalry downplay it


As per Jain sources he was born in a cowshed and hence called Gossala


He was also apparently a Follower of Mahavir Jain for a long time where he tried to always downplay Mahavir but always lost
