Ok so first question..

As per an inscription of Asoka, one animal was definitely cooked in the royal kitchen. Even after he had started his attempt to go towards Ahimsa post embracing Buddhism...

Which animal was it

Rock Edict I specifically states that peacocks (and one deer) were killed for the royal kitchen, but Asoka intended to gradually stop this practice as he embraced Ahimsa.

Formerly, in the kitchen of Beloved-of-the-Gods, King Piyadasi, hundreds of thousands of animals were killed every day to make curry. But now with the writing of this Dhamma edict only three creatures, two peacocks and a deer are killed, and the deer not always. And in time, not even these three creatures will be killed.

(Major Rock Edict No.1)

Thankyou everyone for responding

So the correct anwer was peacock which was cooked daily.

The edict states that two peacocks and one deer (few translate it as antelope) were cooked in royal kitchen but some days that wasn't ....

Shoutout to

Bhavna @Bhavisweet03

and

Tinkerbell @Thorn.Princess

or giving the correct answers

Remarkable mention to Pete CID-fan-394 for guessing Deer, the second animal mentioned in the inscription though not cooked daily
