for me, the most important thing about writing is consistency and being true to your characters and story ..and they have abysmally failed on these counts ..the timing of the leap etc doesn’t matter really …the writing is very contrived and the characters are not convincing ..now if Twitter thinks that is great writing then, I guess I have nothing to add lol

I think OTT has spoiled ITV for me ..my patience for BS has come down significantly and I think I am judging ITV by a set of standards that they don’t even aspire to meet …I guess my expectations are the problem then and not the show ..!

I agree. The thing is breaking a biological bond is easier said than done. Its too precious for people to give up on no matter how problematic and toxic some people are. Abhira knows that too because she has always craved a family and Armaan who has only ever lived in a joint family will never be happy if he moves out unless he made that decision of his own accord without any pressure from Abhira. Infact even then he may turn around later and tell her she should have counseled him to try harder to patch up with his family. Abhira knows that the option of leaving PH, marrying against Kaveris wishes is a last resort if Armaan and her want to do that. But theres no rush to do so without even trying to reconcile first.

Armaan is committed to his family and family firm. He wont leave unless he is expressly asked to. Even then he will ask for forgiveness, for a chance and only leave if he's given no option.

He definitely wants Kaveri's approval for shaadi varna voh Abhira ko convince karleta that they can work on manaoing Kaveri even after shaadi just like they did the first time when he sprung Abhira on them as a shocker. Armaan is a lawyer, he can definitely convince Ab if he wants to. Kasam deta toh Abhira mana nahi kar paati. But fact is he also wants Kaveri blessings in his shaadi and for all the issues to be sorted with kaveri and Rohit before he marries Abhira. He gets frustrated and hurt, upset intermittently just like Abhira does but they are keeping faith that things will fall in place over time. They are enjoying every small win they get. Whether thats a few hours of time out from spats, 1 smile from kaveri to Armaan, or a brief moment that shows Rohit values the past memories and has same sentimental value for a watch.

And Abhira gets that Armaan is too attached to his family and if she loves him she has to adjust and work extra hard to keep him tied to them rather than breaking him away because tomorrow otherwise she's gonna get the blame of separating him from his family. Having already faced the heartache of a divorce and almost losing Armaan , the last thing she wants is a baddua coming true or making Armaan bitter and resentful in the long term about alienating his family whom he loves. Esecially when she herself knows the pain of not having a family and values having a family, having people around us to share in our joys and sorrows.

I really don't see what Abhira can do differently in this situation. She is firmly supporting Armaan but without whitewashing him or his mistakes. She is trying to make Rohit at least give a chance to Armaan to explain his pov. She is wanting to remind Rohit they his bond with Ar is too deep and special . She wants to create a family bonding mahaul where everyone is united as a team, as a family to fulfill this challenge which has Kaveris izzat at stake. She understands that Rohit is upset over past, she was too. She knows that Kaveri hates her but she is hoping they can find a midway truce like before where she'll tolerate her presence and acknowledge her as a family member even if grudgingly

I would love it if there was even a brief respite of Abhimaan living separately, giving time to each other and their careers. People in nuclear families also maintain familial bonds. Its just different than living under one roof. But i know this plot won't happen. The whole crux of the show is about how the leads keep their rishtaa intact with their large family while living with them.
