Sorry to disagree here. Rahul did the marriage in his impulsiveness & was manipulated by DN. He was very clear he won't continue the marriage. But here she's definitely gonna stay put with the shart willingly putting their relationship at stake without even considering what Rahul will go through. This is in no way better. Both r at the same level.

True. Just a tiny scratch but look at the bigger picture the rasam got completed, Mauli giving the kangan didn't go waste. Apt solution for his thick headed disgusting mother.

Of course it was. It was just a tiny scratch which he caused to himself willingly. It wasn't for that woman but more for Mauli yes whatever he did was to get the rasam completed & also that her giving the kangan didn't go waste which was the dire need of the situation.

Rahul tricked her today just for the sake of rasam being completed. If she hadn't done all this drama yesterday & today too I'm sure Rahul though being upset about her missing would've ignored her only.

Actually its a bit complicated here. He knew his mother is wrong so not caring much about her approval and going with his heart but deep within he must have a niche for his mother and a son's desire to get his mother involved in the biggest function of his life anyhow. I know the purpose of the rasam is not fulfilled as Tanvi did it with other intention. Call it a false believe/relief but he satisfied himself that the his mother did the ritual.

Its itv so the literal rituals and some huge happiness behind anyhow completion of them is a big thing. Aprt from hurring himself he has tried no other way to involve her forcefully in his wedding. So we can see though not happy with it but he has almost left Tanvi with her own thoughts and beliefs.

Bang on. Exactly my thoughts. Whatever Rahul did today was just for the sake of ritual completion rather than u know involving DW. Him craving for his mother too is not wrong but we've seen how he didn't act upon on it cos he knows his mother too well & also knows she won't agree hence has left her on her own will.

I'm not going to even read those comments but not surprised. This is the age old stereotypes for male and female leads of a show. They can both do dumb and stupid stuff but for males, it's presented as them being rude, impulsive and dumb while for females it's positioned as them being compassionate, self sacrificing and caring for others. ITV is based and built for women so they can't make them look flawed.

It reinforces the trope that women need and should sacrifice things in their lives to keep a family happy - bit as Mini stated rightfully so at the beginning of the show, if a girl can think about their whole family why can't they think about her happiness.
