You are correct! Moral conflict is the center of all the problems. Until that is resolved they will not move the story by themselves ...

Yes they are not exploring childhood trauma, especially in case of Ani, the need to please people... if they do people will relate to that character much more.

The answer to when they will actually take interest in the future ... I have been thinking about that too...

A bigger moral conflict needs to arise for the current one to become insignificant ...

So to me, the answer is another moral conflict

What that might be? Can be several things...

Jhanak being harmed by arshi

Ani being harmed by Arshi / Shristi

Ani's emotional breakdown

An accidental physical intimacy between Jhanak and Anirudh (not thinking till the consummation stage but something)

These are the things that come to my mind... But obviously,

the biggest one is this one 👇

Makers choice

Something needs to happen that liberates them... or make them come face to face with their feelings so they can't run anymore

I feel unless both Ani and Jhanak feel the people around them don't care for them as much as they care for each other, or themselves... they are not going to change. Both can't be more different from each other when it comes to making decisions but their nature can't be more same. Both have childhood trauma, need to please people and make everyone happy, put others before them, and have very compassionate hearts and that is their biggest weakness ... they are very human , too good of human beings surrounded by not great humans

I am also waiting for the day when they will do things by themselves , but its not going to come anytime soon... one track one outcome , lets see what Mumbai gives us

Moral conflict is the main reason, but there are also other sub-conflicts that adds on to the moral conflict which became hindrance to their way. Neither of them thought they would fall for each other and things will become out of control. Lack of proper communication, lack of acknowledgement from both sides, all these baseless riddle talks, lack of trust etc.

I am literally unable to figure out and see the other possibilities that could compel them to confess. Everything is done basically and they still didn’t come to any conclusion about their relationship so I am thinking what other magic potion will there be which will force them to accept? I am not keeping my hopes high except for the belief that they are fated.. how they are going to forever come together is still at question with minimal hope. Writers are not utilizing the necessary sources to upscale their intensity and the relationship. There was lack of turmoil and memories which is why I am super disappointed. So let’s see what other nonsense will we get serve with Arshi in between.

While Ani’s shaq was unbelievable, these 2 not getting a single alone scene that shows their mental turmoil, comes a close second!- it’s plain stupid n a ploy to try re-start from scratch!

If they want us to believe that these two have harnessed their minds and shut off that one part completely, you can do so only if you are a robot!

Human minds are never programmed for switch off switch on! Sari phasad ka jad yehi hai!

Isn't that switch off shown only from Jhanak's side! Because from whatever updates I have read up here seems to indicate that Jhanak still rules the BH court room talks even after her departure n Ani is still invested in defending her?

True that Teju, BH eats, sleeps, breathes Jhanak

Ani is invested on finding her and checking on her to ensure she is safe , but he will not 'pareshan' her henceforth is his resolve!

They haven't given us a scene where either of the leads are broken, grieved, missing eo ! Supremely pragmatic! Either what the makers made us believe in 230 epi s is not true or this practicality isn't!

@bold: Ya I agree totally! Cvs just show anything they feel like! So unrealistic! Ani cudnt live without her for a min supposedly n now he isn't even? Same with Jhanak! Jhanak came back by either agreeing or rather ignoring Anis stupid proposal because of her vaada. But now she left - vaada baadmein! My question to cvs why didn't she do that earlier itself?! She cud hv atleast retained her self respect!

Only when their hearts overcame their minds would their relationship progress in the right direction, without consideration of morality conflict if they truly think there is any obstructing their relation.

They have a great plot, but they must be smoking weeds they can’t understand where they left off the story or even their equation. They need to understand and go over their dialogues, what they said, promised each other. That’s why their emotions are so inconsistent.

Same with Jhanak.🤦‍♀️
