The episode is up on hulu. After seeing it, I don't think Ani is acting. I feel he is 50/50 about J and hence not supporting openly. He is being non committal. No wonder she leaves. She was so hurt.

He's acting for sure but yeah he's really serious about Arshi too as his friend/human being.
