We have a saying in bengali which when translated means "Jo galat ko tolerate karte hai , they are equally at fault, with the one who does galat"
Yeha bhi kuchh aisa hi haal hai ! Tabhi Minu chahiye with her cane, sare nithalle logo ko peeth peeth ke sidha karegi
Despite how Shrishti is,Vinu kaka is such a good human being, he looks past and loves her ! Can he forgive what she did to his daughter though, this time?
As for Jethu and Bodoma (Jethi) , the eldest son and daughter in law, in a joint family , bears the brunt and literally carries the family on their shoulders, with their genuine care, concern and contributions!
They may lack contributing financially but are the most giving otherwise! Plus the care and respect they both have for Dadubhai and Thammi, is what you would expect of the eldest son and daughter in law, in a joint family. There is strong sense of 'belonging', no matter what, they are part of this unit !
Ani shares this sense of 'belonging' , as with any joint family set up, you identify yourself, as one of them and the thought of splitting and staying on your own, might either never cross your mind, due to how you have always been used to the set up and gotten conditioned OR if you do think of splitting, it might be too heart breaking a thought to follow through with execution! So you stick to the unit, no matter what!
I come from a joint family set up and a common kahawat is "4 6 utensils sath honge, toh awaz toh hoga, usme kya hai"
If you notice, everytime Bips or Tanu has told Choton, you can move out and fend for yourself, Ani has vehemently stood up for Chhoton and defended him with, yeh ghar utna hi Chhoton ka bhi hai jitna aap sabka ! It kinda gives insight into why Ani sticks to the house and this family, despite how little he has gotten back from the members!
Every nook and cranny hold some memory of his growing up years for him, him being separated from dadubhai, thammi and the rest, might result in him not identifying with a part of himself anymore!
It is true though, that if he chose J ever, Shubho will kick him out of BH for sure
Chhoton is the happy go lucky youngest, being the youngest comes with a lot of lad pyar and pampering and less expectations ki family ki zimedari tumhare sar. He has taken advantage of this and ended up being lazy
Like J sticks to these snakes , coz she craves for a family, having had none during her growing up years, and coz she loves Ani, so takes every sh*t that comes with able to stay with him, for the good Basus, they have gotten used the zillat too, unhe pata hai, thoda bahut sunne ko mil jayegi , phir wapas sab apne apne kaam pe
Standing up for your self respect is hard work as you then need to fend for yourself

Inference: no character is relatable! Itโs like some fantasy show!! Especially this Jhanak.. I canโt relate to her most of the time..
this jethi also.. why do he and choton bear insults on daily basis and stick around in the same place! He says he has promised his parents but when they are not standing by these ppl and speaking up for them, why bother staying even for the sake of parents!!
Finally Vinayak: heโs treated so bad .. why is he taking it! All these ppl need character growth!
Chotonis the worst๐
