Side note - I think makers have intentionally kept Ani's monologues mis-leading, so that viewers can keep guessing what he is up to this time. There is no reason for Ani to doubt J over a crime this grave !

It is true, he is genuinely concerned about Arshi and is gutted by the misfortune that befell on her and is trying to grapple with the incident, but his 'meri honewali biwi ke saath, J ko saza dilaiye", is all to show the police that he is cooperating with them, that he HAS RELATIONSHIP ONLY with his honewali biwi and no one else and he CARES ONLY FOR HIS HONEWALI BIWI!

One day before, clad in the same red and white as J, he shut her off with "shaadi hui nehi hai,kehte hai saptapadi ke rasm ke bina, shaadi sampann nehi hoti" - take that, for his 'honewali biwi' rant

Unless SK goes to jail and strong determination of Shubhu to expel jhanak out of the house , Ani is going to continue the facade. SBS also confirmed SK will be exposed. but i think vinu kaka might stop ANI to not send her jail as he truly loves her. She is here to stay.

Inference: no character is relatable! It’s like some fantasy show!! Especially this Jhanak.. I can’t relate to her most of the time..
this jethi also.. why do he and choton bear insults on daily basis and stick around in the same place! He says he has promised his parents but when they are not standing by these ppl and speaking up for them, why bother staying even for the sake of parents!!

Finally Vinayak: he’s treated so bad .. why is he taking it! All these ppl need character growth!
