Of course she is not thinking right. She does not make sense, in fact never did. If she had any capacity to think she would not go running to Tejas to escape BH and keep Ani safe.
We've always seen Ani be the voice of reason and sense. He knows Jhanak, and the expectation is that he should be smart enough to realize her fears and listen to her extreme sensitivity to insults, and tie it to her past.
Instead to keep her safe and with him, he made the decision to keep her in BH even though she even tried to commit suicide to escape. I dont fault him here...he did what he needed to keep her safe,
The communication works both ways, yes J shuts him down, when he tries to confess, but on the other side, J has seen Ani confess love and devotion to Arshi in front of her a million times, and some times even when she is not there we see Ani's devotion to Arshi. Given her insecurity about being only good for an affair and not as wife, she shuts down every attempt by Ani. She feels that eventually he will go back to Arshi and be happy with her as their relationship is strong and cannot be broken by anyone. (so many occasions, Ani had a chance to break the relationship with Arshi and did not)
It can be argued that if Ani had sat J down and told her in crisp words that he loves her and cannot marry Arshi; maybe J would have seen how wrong she is in pushing Ani to Arshi. Ani is wrong for using Arshi but so is Jhanak. She took him to task for the very thing she asked him to do, make Arshi happy when he told her he was feeling suffocated. Both are cheating Arshi. I dont like her, but both Ani and J are playing with her life, and if she comes for revenge - it will be justified.
While both are idiots, I understand J being an idiot given her traumatic past. Now if they show Ani has a similar past, or. a good reason to hang on to Arshi, I can understand his action. Else he does look like an user who is flaky and does not have the strength of character to pick the woman he loves and stops leading the other. J clearly told Ani, she cannot lead Rahul on bcos he is her friend.
The reference to proof..
When Ani confronts J after she returns to BH, she asks him if his intent is not to keep her as dusri aurat what it is? To that he replied he knows what is in his heart but he cannot tell her because he does not have proof. I did not understand that part. Do you? I may be missing something there?
Bottom line, I expect more from Ani because he is older and in a position of strength. Its his family and if he had made sure J was kept safe from all insults in his house, she may have felt respected enough to consider that Ani may want her for a wife, instead of the insecurity that he will always go back to Arshi and hence push him to it.
