Purple - In Kashmir he said this to convince J to tag along with him to Kol. Coz he knew "I will marry Arshi to pacify my family" would cut it as reason to convince J.

Instead, if he had said "I would reject Arshi and accept you as my wife" in Kashmir, it would not cut it off as a reason for J and she would not have agreed to come with him to Kol, worse, she might have run away ! That was his quick fix, to not take a chance with J and ensure she comes to Kol - 2 reasons - her safety and his need!

The day they arrive at BH, he tries to bare his heart out and tell her, he feels suffocated and wants to say to her , his dil ki baat ! Only to hear from her, you promised you will marry Arshi didi and keep her happy and you both are the deepest root of a tree that no storm can ukhaaro.

"Main tumhe apni dil ki baat batana chahta hu, par agar tum gussa kar rahi ho, then I am so sorry, main nehi batayunga" - there is a weird sense of fear of losing her - "tum hairaan ho jayoge yeh dekhke ki main Arshi se kitna pyar karta hu"

They are both scared to face the truth, accept the truth and blurt out the truth ! There is fear, guilt , insecurity,unpredictabilty of reactions and uncertainity of the unknown , if they did blurt it out !

For a long time now, Ani should have quit his petty games and for once, come what may, said nothing but the truth!

Well written Sohini.. but keeping aside her Arshi didi and nakli shaadi jaap, we can't ignore the pain she goes through. Until Rahul's MU there was a thing about Ani hesitating to confess as he thought they were in love. But Ani after confessing did the biggest mistake of saying "he will nibhao the farz by marrying Arshi and keep his family happy, but J shouldn't leave his side". Any sane girl can't accept this kind of demands from a man. If he loved her, he should let go of Arshi and say that he can't marry Arshi, and he accepts the marriage with J to be real. The guy who always stood up aginst his family and Arshi before he didn't realize his love - is becoming a coward in front of them when he realized his love!

He failed to understand her, knowing how her mother and her suffered all their life. He is acting like a teenager who can't face rejection.

People already got fed up with Ani matchmaking Rahul and Jhanak, on top of it Arshi Kashmir wedding drama so it started to decline already, they didn't promote confession, also it was filled with Farz word. After that constant torture of shaadi rituals again, "performance" and irritating convo between leads.

It's hard to gain back audience once it's lost.

And if they dont show some great progress , I think its going to shut down within a month or so....Now its height of patience ...

I think she will never compromise on her dignity &:what she is seeing is him confessing to her but then going ahead with marriage & in this situation she will never support him even for emotional needs as she will consider this as emotional cheating (which is right too)

And somewhere Ani has failed her after giving her big promises....

Like him, she had her own expectations from him & from her own-self too, which he is not trying to understand...

His confession isn't as strong as how he had been with her even without any promise .

That was not Anirudh at all.

His character being degraded will bring the show down.

Everyone loved the savage one and emotional one .

Now he is just emotional and weak ..it can be real but very hard to watch a show daily like this ...
