Other (non Shahs) characters flip flopping to justify the misdeeds of the main characters is the biggest flaw of this show. Maya was introduced as an abuse victim who was level headed and loved her daughter. Then she turned overnight to justify mahaan Anupama. Malti Devi was introduced as the voice of reason and respectable, overnight she was insulted by anupama and her own son didn't want her. Adhik overnight turned into a scheming woman beater and then became bechara good guy when he sided with anupama.

Only show where they are unable to show good side of Anupama character so make others bad to justify her. Stupid writing and I have an inkling the actor contributes a lot to the direction it takes (example Maya turned evil overnight after the actors dance was praised and said to be better than RGs.).

If you see carefully then Anupama’s character downfall started after Anuj entry. She was handed the big project without qualifications only because Anuj loved her. She stopped looking after her dance academy too. After Maan marriage n CA entry it became about Shahs n adopted daughter.

After maan first separation she was given whole MD’s dance academy responsibility in just one month.Whole management responsibilities given to her.

In second separation she was closed off for 5 years n just after landing in USA with in few month she won MasterChef competition with pukeworthy dishes where she didn’t had to cook non veg.

Before anuj entry small achievement looked big n gave the feeling like a middle class woman achieved something. That was the time where it was acceptable that there are people who are more talented then Anupama n she have to learn but after Anuj entry it’s like Anupama is perfect n she knows everything. She is best in everything she does. All others who are good then her made villains.

I think if there was no Anuj then story would be more reasonable.

Excellent point. Once she was the owner of a multi million business with a loving husband and young adopted kid, she was no longer a victim. She was one of the most powerful women in India. From there going back to be being a victim, both in terms of career and in terms of abuse from ex in laws is something no one can digest. They had to bring ridiculous points to justify this going back, like she leaving everything and running away.

Once she married anuj, they had to change the entire plot and show the journey of an empowered woman who tackles other issues. But they wanted to go back to the bechari victim mentality.

Since the leap the story has made it very clear that Aadhya cannot accept Anupama and Anuj cannot love Shruti. CA's intense hatred for Maa forced him to get engaged to Shruti half-heartedly. After Anu re-entered his life, keeping up his promise to Shruti became even more burdensome as he was and is still in love with his ex-wife.

But, he was getting a way out. When Shruti discovered about MaAn, she left the house. She even asked Anu, if she wants to return to AK. But he brought her back. Still Shruti was not imposing herself on him. When her parents died, he felt very bad for her and impulsively proposed her. That time too, she asked him if he was sure? From this point, everything went downhill.

While Aadhya is a kid, a mature conversation with Shru would have not messed up things. Even when Shru was bedridden, in one of the episodes, she literally begged him to get married. She told she is insecure but Anuj simply used to divert the topic instead of finding a meaningful solution.

Unfortunately, Shruti had to do this mistake (sorry Anupama fans what Shruti did to S &C is not a crime or a sin) because Anuj was engaged to her but romancing his ex-wife.

The lead couple is shameless and polygamous / polyandrous. I know Shruti is hurt but this is her best chance to walk out of this MaAn curse.

Shru needs to walk out after making this thanking buddha penniless n let him rot in shah house with his buddhi ex wife upma..He deserves the treatment which Upma gave him years back only..

She had refused to listen to Devika's word of caution and even threatened to slap her for questioning Vanraj, who actively insulted her. My point isn't regarding comparing the two as they are, considering Shruti should have been more confident and independent than Anupamaa ever was. However, in a somewhat similar scenario then, no one even thought of blaming Anupamaa, her foolishness and blind trust on Vanraj.

In my view, the blame majorly lies on manipulative and spineless Anuj Kapadia who can't even tell Shruti no and break it off. He shamelessly runs behind his ex all the time and is waiting for some reason connected to her, rather than break it by himself. And how easily would he have committed to a pretense marriage with her if the ex hadn't turned up?? He can't even counsel his own daughter and is actively destroying lives with his actions with zero regret whatsoever.

Agreed. We were given to believe that there was a long line of girls behind Anuj in the US waiting to marry him. It was indeed surprising for me that a handsome guy like Anuj could not find a suitable girl (Other than Anupama) for himself in the US. Anuj had ruined his own life thanks to his blind obsession for Anupama and taking the most foolish decision of marrying her. Anupama did not hide any thing from Anuj regarding how her life has been and what had happened after he left for US etc. But still he chose to marry Anupama (The most foolish decision of his life) knowing fully that he was making a mess of his life. If marrying Anupama was the most idiotic decision of his life, he took another foolish decision by adopting Aadhya from an orphanage. Poor Anuj had high hopes from this Unpaid Maid of the filthy Shah family that she can be a good mother to Aadhya. He did not even know that the 3 Anmol Ratan of AnuRaj were defective products and were a failure in terms of a career and job etc. Had Anuj married at the right age, he could have been a good Father In Law to both Kinjal and Dimpy. There was a father daughter like bonding between Anuj, Kinjal and Dimpy.

Anupama did not have the minimum common sense of getting CCTV cameras installed in Spice & Chutney. Had the CCTV cameras been installed in Spice & Chutney the culprit behind the Cockroach Biryani could have been fired much earlier and we would not have seen stone pelting by a mob of people.

Aadhya should cut off all ties with Anuj and Anupama and go with Sruthi. Aadhya's hatred for Anupama will be increased even further after Anupama had made Sruthi as the villain in the Cockroach Biryani Fiasco.
