There is a difference between our dramas and Pak dramas in the format. Generally, their dramas end after a particular time period and some of the dramas when they are getting telecasted, they are at the end of the shooting. Ours is mainly a long format and based on the TRP they introduce changes in the tracks or they change the tracks. And also some of their dramas adapt Itv style shooting like the grandeur to attract the audience.

Yes, the difference is in quality vs quantity.

There is no point creating 3000 episodes when there is no real content or story to fill in those episodes. Because there is no story, to drag the show they introduce mindless things like plastic surgery, duplicates, love triangles, and year leap. These shows do not thrive on story, they just thrive on "moments" created by lead pair. At times these moments seem forced rather than organic.

Imo, It's better to create 30 episodes with a quality story and end it there. That is more impactful.

End of the day it all boils down to trp and ad revenue. Hence, no one bothers about the craft i.e story telling as long as they make money. The moment cashflow stops, take the show off air and refurbish the same story with another pair of actors. Sorry state of affairs!

Some of the Pakistani serials from past till now are really good, realistic, no melodrama, all in natural settings, simple dressing, actors are natural in their acting.

But, I feel the content is as bad as ITV. Theirs is all marriage within cousins, everything happens within close family circles, villains turn out to be cousins and the FL is made to suffer a lot, she will inevitably get a divorce, her husband will remarry and then in the end, she will go back to him. This is the pattern in most of the serials except for some. Only a few are daily serials, rest are weekly and maximum of 30 to 50 episodes, so they have enough time for a good story.

But, there are really some good actors there, both male and female, young and old.

I agree that the past serials were much better than the current ones. The current ones seem to be in a competition with itv shows (really don't understand why they would want to downgrade their quality)

I understand your point. But we do have different options for the content but for the trp audience it is the show they watch. Once they start watching they get attached to it so, if not with interest, they watch it out of habit. So it's like it becomes a brand and they watch the show for its name with different generations. I agree it's the moments for which the audience watch it. Basically they, including me want to see a love story. Right now, it's more like a repeat of old moments and people want to watch something new and also like you mentioned organic moments.

Actually if rightly done, Itv can create at least 200-250 episodes by slowly building the story, characters and gradually showing the love story.

Just saw a recent bts. They are back in the house and Amruta was in saree, Bhavani and harsh were there talking with babita and dildar. So don't think there will be much moments between Virat and Priyanka and hopefully sirf jo scene promo mai that utna hi de isse zada nhi😏. I can't see her scenes with Virat even before the episodes air.... Will ff their scenes if any illogical scenes happen between them 👎😏

Yeah I also think Nimrit will turn into a positive character and it will be she who will reveal the truth to Virat hopefully as in one interview shekhar said that in future nimrit will be in amvira's side and maybe shekhar will end up with nimrit. Their jodi will be nice too.

I saw a tweet on X suggesting that Virat is acting and Bhavani is with him in his plan. That is the reason Bhavani is not willing to go to the police. Additionally, that lady police officer is also one of Virat's players. However, Virat's monologue suggests something different.
