ty …so its constitution provisions for financial resources. Makes complete sense to me.

why does Bihar need it ? They have tons of natural resources and should have good revenues etc. I guess it’s just political ask in their case.

Not at all. The weird partition of Bihar led to the relocation of industries to Jharkhand. Its natural resources are limited, 1/3rd population is severely backward, floods and droughts are constantly ravaging its North and South parts, and water supply isn't good enough either. Bihar qualifies for the special status category by checking most requirements except the hilly terrains.

abolished ? Meaning provision abolished. They will need to re establish it for Bihar and AP? if that’s what it takes to keep them in NDA so be it. It’s still better than khataaa khat bankruptcy of exchequer.

Indeed. It will have to be re-established.

Congress bifurcated the state without giving them a capital in a hurry in February 2014.
TDP has aligned with NDA with the demand for Amravati development and it will happen

That anger against Congress was there in 2014 and 2019 but has somewhat dimmed but the anger against BJP is lot more this time because it is BJP in powere it was BJP which went back on it's promise.

Congress was not aligned with any regional party in Andhra. It was fighting against both TDP and YSJagan

The people of Andhra voted for CBN and BJP because of it's alliance with TDP it benefitted.

what he did for Gujarat is simply amazing. And gujjus are amazing entrepreneurs. So it was a perfect match. I have so many stories of entrepreneurs who have met with him when he was CM about projects and how he handled it. Starting with things like 7:00 am meetings and him being on time / early and fully prepared. Etc.

The most impressive was that he made the beauraucrats work. Restaffed them. Ensured they show up for work ..maintain clean offices etc etc. and then results start flowing …

As I said. Respect is earned and he has earned it for me …

P.s. you sure had an interesting childhood with parents voting for different parties. :). Democracy at its best :)

Yup his Gujarat model was commendable, and he knew the state of mind of every Gujarati so that worked in his favour very much

B - yup same 💯

Yup the experience was certainly amazing 😅smiley36

Before elections and before forming alliance of NDA, the parties would have already signed some mutual agreements.

If there was a blanket ban on govt ads (as opposed to, say, a selective ban on certain papers/channels), I don't think there should be an issue at all.

In a vibrant economy, papers and channels should have no issues filling ad spaces from non government sources, so the question of a revenue shortfall for them shouldn't really arise.

I do agree that some paper ads could be used to make the general public aware of certain schemes or information, in which case the government could pay them a very minimal sum (or ideally free) to do 1 ad say bi-monthly or so.

But otherwise, I personally think ads from the government (central/state/municipality) should be kept to a bare minimum or banned altogether from TV and channels. Easiest way to solve the conflict of interest issue and maintain the neutrality of the press.
