Folks can we stop using word 'divorce'..

There has to be a valid marriage continuing between two married adults as per Hindu marriage act in India, say for one or both parties to approach family courts to file a divorce case to discontinue their marriage, by mentioning reasons..

Here Amruta case is different, she as victim of 'forced marriage' is expected to approach police file FIR first against her abuser & then use lawyer to fight for NULLITY of that forced marriage.

Nullity of marriage is a judicial declaration that marriage was NOT in existence. It refers to the validity of marriage according to law. It means that there was NO valid marriage performed between the parties.

Divorce

Divorce is judicial declaration on the petition of the parties of marriage which led to the end of valid marriage. In divorce validity of marriage is not questioned, but continuation of marriage is affected and there is end of a valid marriage.

The promo is disappointing in that sense.... bus... they want her to stay there... as if she has no other options.

Even her dialogue in the promo is contradictory... 'cant call it a marriage when you force apply sindoor on someone.' So why the 'Divorce' paper?

PS: Oh... seems like annulment... not divorce. Fine then.

also char phere with sindoor only will come in favour of amruta if she is filing for annulment as it was forced and no mangalsutra as well is involved so court will be in her favour on this but mukta and vsa will not let her escape easily
