Their dynamics are already complicated.

Logically speaking, both Ani and Jhanak are legally married, but it's with some terms. So, Arshi is the third angle no matter what were the previous circumstances.

Since both Ani and Jhanak do not accept the marriage, yet Ani keeps giving Arshi hope and performing all the rituals, does this make any sense? Arshi is not even engaged to Ani, so it is just a verbal commitment that holds hardly any value when compared to a legal marriage.

When Ani started feeling attracted toward Jhanak, he realized he was in love and shouldn't go ahead with any rasams. He could never have imagined how much these wedding rituals and fake PDA hurt Jhanak, making her believe she was the third angle (although their marriage was to save a life, Ani was initially introduced to her as Arshi's fiancé).

His confused state of mind and failure to take appropriate actions according to the situation caused Jhanak to sacrifice her love for him, as she was still somehow convinced that Ani loved Arshi. That's why she spoke cryptically, saying that she can't give someone else's gift to someone else. I hope Ani understands her clue, as he chose the correct flashback and promptly severed ties with Arshi.
