I think the writers may have changed, or they altered the story because they didn't think that Krushal and Hiba's pair would do well in a non-prime slot.

Really, the sizzling chemistry is a huge point for fetching high TRPs, so they must have changed the storyline considerably. That's why it becomes inconsistent, as well as their dialogues.
