I am also of the opinion that it's not just Diljeet, but the whole leap that brought the dip in TRP.

1. The leap was too early.
2. They didn't even try to establish Sahan as a couple who loved each other.
3. They kept bringing seperation tracks one after the other.
4. Angad became more toxic. Sahiba became a bigger doormat.
5. Many tracks with major plot twists weren't given an ending.
6. Diljeet was neither written nor performed in a convincinv manner.

II also think people were waiting for Angad and Sahiba to reunite. Their patience got tested too often.

I felt Leap was the worst idea, and they never actually developed Sahan's love story.

After their 2 min Maggie love , there was nothing substantial.

It is fun to see them go down. Apparently other couples didn't give trps so they got no footage. Meanwhile Gaatchora showed 3 proper love stories and continued for 5 months even after lead actress quit show abruptly. This ph is only interested in showing domestic abuse in the name of love story.

Audience tolerated all nonsense thinking one day they might get love story instead they got a minute long consummation and then wife was again thrown out. Now no one expects any love story so why will anyone watch.

During Rumi track they had higher trps than Anupama, they could have capitalized and build a good well loved couple. But the misogyny infested brains are only willing to show fl as this unwanted creature who helps ml 24/7 but gets abuse as reward.

There is an article which says TMD has been given 1 month extension depending on the fact if the TRP’s increase or not.

They have 1 month to raise trps. That is essentially off air. It is just a formality, shows don't rise drastically in a month. The decision to axe must be already taken.

Tmd took 11 months to go to 2. Star wants 2 ratings, Tmd can't even rise to 1.4 even if they try their best in a month.

Also the upcoming plot is predictable, Akir thinks Sahiba killed Diljeet, hates her and Angad will be glorified because he will help Sahiba escape. Sahiba abuse and wrongly blaming her works when show has high trp; they can afford a little fall but it doesn't work when there is no audience , it will just repel any existing audience.

It would be better if they just gave a few romantic moments and ended instead of trying crap to save a sinking ship but the writers of this ph have done PhD in showing everything but love in love story.
