You got a point and that's the problem that noone actually talks about degrading Indian shows and to uplift it. TV shows and movies are a mirror to society but unfortunately they are worse than reality.

Its so insane that in 2024 we are watching shows where well-educated women have to depend on a man for financial security. I do not know what world these ITV writers live in, but irl I have seen so many women financially support their parents, their husbands and even the families of their husband financially due to varying circumstances that these tropes on TV always makes me roll my eyes.

When creative field is taken over by financial targets, creativity takes a hit. Always. I have learnt it the hard way.
