If you want the grandeur, and set it up on a grand scale, like an historical, mythology, you need people who have experience…India can be so sensitive to incorrect potrayals in this regard. Which gives you what 2-3 names- SLB, and maybe the guy who directed Kalank?

But the issue goes beyond the visualization of grandeur. Also, you need experience directing an 8 or 10 part series, and BW directors don’t know how to do it. The format, the narrative, pacing is all different and even SLB struggled in Heeramandi.

Maybe daily TV show directors potentially can do it, as they direct hours of episodes thinking about continuity, star cast, narrative, but I don’t think they get the opportunity or the funding in their names.

Alot of people are complaining about Colin feelings for Pen being rushed but that’s utter BS, because i believe he always cared for her since S1, it’s just that the Kiss made him feel towards her indifferent for the first time. Also, they the only couple in bridgerton who has been friends before lovers, unlike other couples who were lusty for each other from the word go.

Don't know about Hindi films but South India made films adapted from books as well as epics.

Telugu film makers were quite successful in adapting a few episodes of Mahabharata as well as Ramayana.

They had very good performances too.The characters'layers so well developed be it Ram or Krishna and who are considered both as human and divine. The human side of the characters was brought out so beautifully by the actors like the legendary NTR.

Hindi filmmakers were/are not able to come up with good films based on epics. They couldn't come up with drama. All they could come up were devotional films which don't measure up to standards of hollywood fims based on Biblical stories like Ten commandments or movies like the last temptation of Christ etc.

exactly! Colin and Penelope now my favorite. I loved how their friendship grew into love. i never felt it being rushed. it was always there from the very beginning.

as simple as this: the caring was strong to fall for each other! caring for someone is a part of love! and then there is friendship, which many agree a plus in your relationship. yes , Polin has taken over otherssmiley36 can't wait for drama unfolding on June 15 S4smiley27

I just came to agree with people saying that Colin and Penelope were so beautiful 😍.

Yes, even IMO polin>Kanthony>Saphne.

Also hard agree that Colin already loved Penelope just was blind to his feelings.

I loved this season. Eagerly waiting for Part 2.smiley27

He did

In Benedict's book, Anthony predicts that Colin and Penelope will get married because Colin was behaving like he behaved when he was denying his feelings for Kate
