Nobody expected TB to be a big hit the way it was when they were making it. At max, it was supposed to be a hit like Fitoor was a hit. Neither Yumna and Wahaj were mainstream commercial TRP getters. Haseeb gets critical acclaim for Geo but he is not a TRP getter. Even Alif had top stars for its time (Sajal and Hamza) but it wasn't a TRP hit. I think Kaddu expects SMD to do well but he is not an idiot to think it will do TB #s. Having Wahaj in it doesn't mean he thinks it will be as big as TB. Haseeb's previous dramas featured top superhit stars of their time - Sanam Saeed, Maya, Hamza, Sajal - and have had big budgets (remember Diyar e Dil) but they usually get awards not big TRPs.

I agree TB becoming a big hit was not something anyone could have predicted. I have to disagree with you on SMD. It is written by Khalil ur Rehman Qamar who has given massive hits in the past. People come to watch the show just on his name. It also has Wahaj in it

KRQ has written lots of dramas that did average too.

SMD is not going to be a premium KRQ script like Gentleman, MPTH, Pyare Afzal. Woh sirf Humayun or Nadeem Baig ko jaate hain.

SMD ka script will be in the same league as Zara Yaad Kar, Muhabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai, Tau Dil ka Kya Hua, Mera Naam Yusuf Hai.

Wahaj is not as big a deal now as he was a year before. Besides, stars do not give hits all the time - just looks at TRPs of ReJ or Khumar. JeJ #s are what I expect.

ReJ wasn't good. Khumar had the fallen star Feroze, and it was also not that good. Nowadays, shows do well when the chemistry between the leads is good, and it is difficult to create with a massive age difference between the leads (the only exception I can remember being Farhan and Hania).

Wahaj has great chemistry with Maya, his second-best after Yumna. It has all the ingredients. Let's wait and watch to see if it becomes a big hit.

Yumna wahaj have already done 2 shows and many ps, their pair is getting repetitive so a new actress opposite wahaj in tb would be refreshing hai na

More than Wahaj, it's the director who is known for making slow burn dramas. It might be a hit on the lines of JEJ bit certainly not on the level of TB or even MPHT.

That's what I said earlier too. Even Alif had Sajal and Hamza who were huge stars at that time. Diyar e Dil had star power and a huge ensemble. Having star power is not sufficient. Stars in slow burn dramas may mean these projects get respectable #s (like JeJ level) but they don't make them blockbusters.

Exactly. MPHT and Mein are hits but both considered two of Wahaj's worst shows ever.

Did you see this Ps before? I remember after 2020 lockdown, Maria B did these ps of this Turkish actor and Ayeza. Bcz Turkish actors had become so famous. Also this actor is so tall Look at the difference between her and Ayeza..
