Like in Lamhe she did great as the calm n composed Pallavi but the giggly Pooja didnt sound good. Mr. India, Chalbaaz, Roop ki Rani, gumraah..many movies had this issue. But she more than made up for it with her acting. Her eyes speak volumes.

Aamir used to be another actor who emoted so well with his eyes. But thats before he became perpetually wide eyed.

No, she isn't overrated. She was the best dancer in Bollywood in 90s. She was a complete package: beautiful face, nice hair, lovely figure, and the most beautiful smile! She was also a decent actress and had great on-screen chemistry with all her co-stars. 

Her hairstyle and outfits in Dil became popular among college girls at that time. Her outfits in HAHK set a trend for wedding clothes in 90s.

She had a lot of fans, both male and female. Her pictures used to be in beauty salons and girls would copy her style.

Yes, she is definitely overrated as an actress, with a lot of hype surrounding her. Her acting skills and performances are nothing exceptional.

There are numerous popular and less popular actresses in Bollywood who have acted, or are acting, far better than her.

I’m not very familiar with older actresses, but I’m sure there are many among them who also have or had greater acting talent than this actress.

No, she is better than those to listed except Tabu.

No she can dance act and is pretty

SriDevi Rekha Vidya Tabu and Rani are better actresses but the others are questionable. Kangana hasn’t had a hit in ages and her personality is awful
