Seems like they just want to show opposite of what viewers want and don’t care about the TRP.. may be they are just sticking to channel narrative as all the major shows in Star plus are going in a similar way..

Vidya sees this as an opportunity to redeem herself somewhere..given that Armaan is her only son now, she wants to give him back his lost happiness .the makers do not want to discredit Ruhi entirely ..unless they’ve changed the story entirely, they plan to put Ruhi and Rohit together whenever he is back ..a complete humiliation for Ruhi would make this impossible ..but there is a large section of the audience that is waiting to see consequences for Armaan and Ruhi ..if the makers believed that they had not done anything wrong that was worthy of punishment, why have they been holding on to this card for so long ..first Manish and now Vidya ..next would be Abhira ? Is this how they plan to reveal the truth ..in instalments so each character can just process it however they want to ? They could have done this long ago if so ..why wait for so long …life is not always fair ..that’s why we turn to fiction ..because we derive catharsis from seeing manipulation and wickedness having consequences ..Ruhi might say what she said, but as an audience we have seen her throw herself at her jeth ..we have seen the intent behind how she revealed Charu’s truth ..we have seen how she manipulated DS and she is continuing to manipulate V now …if all of this is to have no consequence, it would be very disappointing for me as an audience who’s invested so much time in the hope that we will get to see the downfall of manipulation and selfishness …!

I have made peace with the fact that Ruhi and Armaan will not face any consequences of their actions. Ruhi ko clean chit mil jayegi when Rohit comes back and Abhira is revealed to he her cousin. As for Armaan usko shayad thoda backlash mile family se but Rohit will support him. They can also use this EMA truth as catalyst for Ar-Ab misunderstanding and seperation in future after they get married again. But except this I don't think they will face any major consequences.

Dragging this truth and using it later on won’t work ..the audience has already lost interest in this after eight months ..if they bury it now, it stays buried likely ..and that bugs me no end .. at least Armaan was not motivated by anything beyond a stupid desire to sacrifice ..Ruhi’s intentions were plain wrong when she married Rohit to stay close to Armaan ..forget the rest, isn’t Rohit aware of this fact ?

Ruhi's only punishment will be rohit's return. Don't expect anything else
