This is solely my POV,but I don't think he was planning to get married to her. He is a very non-confrontational character except when he is with Abhira. Koi bhi kuch kehta Hai he says Yes.He doesn't say anything and goes along with it. I have seen a lot of people like that in real life.

He couldn't even say anything to Charu when she insulted him, expecting from him to stand up to Dadi and Vidya is a long shot. The irony is him being a lawyer and he is afraid of arguments.

When marriage talks will start, he won't say anything on that as well and will go along with it till the time he gets to know about what Dadi Sa did.

I don't think the precap scene will be in the actual episode.
